NDC expands into metal measuring
U
S-based NDC Infrared Engineering, a manufacturer of web gauging equipment for the plastics and rubber industries, is adding on metal to its portfolio. It has acquired Belgium-based IRM Group, a manufacturer of high-technology measuring systems for the metal industries.IRM will become aligned within NDC worldwide. Headquartered near Liege, IRM employs about 70 people and provides a range of products to test the flatness, width, thickness, edge profile and coatings of metals. NDC's headquarters are in Irwindale and the company currently employs over 200 people.
