Canadian/Japanese tie-up firmed

anadian automotive parts supplier ABC Group has further strengthened its partnership with Japan's Inoac to target global customer programmes and allow both parties to leverage on their respective global capabilities. Both parties will also engage in joint R&D.

This comes on the back of the April announcement with both companies setting up a joint venture facility in Ningbo, China.

The customer base at the joint venture facility will include Volkswagen, Toyota, Nissan and Daimler, with short-term plans to introduce North America's Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM's). The company will produce interior, exterior and engine support products. In addition, ABC will be introducing its blow and injection moulding and its system-based manufacturing expertise into the jv.

Inoac produces a broad range of products for a variety of industries such as automotive, information and telecommunications, industrial materials and housings. It is also a supplier of interior, exterior and functional parts to the automotive industry.
