iPhone application for machinery

"There are over a half million iPhone apps, so we thought it was time to develop an app of our own," said Christine Maxam, Davis-Standard's global marketing administrator. "We are always looking for ways to use technology to better serve customers."

The app makes it easier for customers and employees to access information. It features company, product, tradeshow and contact information and press releases. It also includes calculators for things like web/roll data, film or sheet throughput rate and throughput of pipe, profiles and tubing. The calculators toggle between the English and metric system. The free iPhone app is available through the App Store by typing Davis-Standard in the search box.
