Rajoo reports higher sales and shows rPET line at K

I

ndian extrusion machinery provider Rajoo Engineers expects a sales increase of 55% in the 2009/10 financial year, which is said to be significant and bullish, with the top line to grow by 20%, according to Sunil Jain, President of the company.

According to Jain the company's businss is made up of sheet extrusion (35%), blown film (30%) and thermoforming (35%).

"In the future, we expect the blown film segment to contribute more than sheet extrusion and thermoforming," said Jain.

Rajoo has also expanded and enhanced its footprint both within the country and also across the world. "Within India, we have new customers across the country in remote cities like Hubli, Palanpur, Guna, Amritsar, Halol, Makshi, Amravati, Pokhraya, Surat, Roorkee, Ranipur, Haridwar, Bhilai, Hathrus, Kozhikode, Mehsana, Sitapur, Rajamundry and Chandauli."

Overseas, the company has penetrated into Egypt, Ecuador and Zambia with multi-layer blown film lines and into Mexico, Columbia and Ecuador with rPET sheet lines. "We have recently supplied a PET sheet line to the demanding market of Spain," said Jain.

Overseas, the company has penetrated into Egypt, Ecuador and Zambia with multi-layer blown film lines and into Mexico, Columbia and Ecuador with rPET sheet lines. "We have recently supplied a PET sheet line to the demanding market of Spain," said Jain.

Rajoo says it offers world-class technology and workmanship but at affordable prices levels. "It is really value for money. We never claim that we are supplying European/American machines at cheap price levels. our contention is that the final product which is processed from our machines is comparable to those produced on machines from Europe/America but at affordable price levels. In terms of technology we are far ahead of machines from other Eastern or Asian sources.

During the K2010 show, Rajoo will be displaying a rPET sheet line. The machine will be complete with a crystalliser and dehumidifier and handles 100% PET bottle flakes.

Said Jain, "It's a moderate output machine that is not viable for European or Americans to produce. With increased usage of PET bottles for mineral water, the availability of PET bottle flakes in even developed economies in the world has increased. PET sheet from such flakes provides a useful packaging material for various applications including pharmaceutical and industrial packaging. This machine is thus ideally suited for developing economies since it is with reasonable output and moderate price levels."

The sheet extrusion machine is three-layer with ABA construction with 90 mm main extruder and 50 mm pilot extruder and die width of 900 mm for an output of around 300 kg/hour.
