German machinery maker Reifenhäuser has divided the business units of Reifenhäuser Extrusion into two independent companies, with one to handle extruders and wood-plastic composites and the other cast film.

The former Extrusion Center unit has been spun off into Reifenhäuser Extrusion Technology, focusing on the development of extruders and WPC lines. The Cast Film business unit will remain with Reifenhäuser Extrusion, which has been renamed Reifenhauser Cast Sheet to concentrate on cast film lines, polishing stack systems, coating lines, dies and winders. Both companies will continue to be located at Reifenhäuser headquarters in Troisdorf.

US firm Huntsman Corp. has acquired the remaining stake of Huntsman NMG, its Russian PU joint venture with NMG, the manufacturer of PU in Russia and other areas of the former Soviet Union.
