Azelis sells composites unit
BELGIAN speciality chemical firm Azelis has sold its composites business to German raw materials supplier Velox. Terms were not disclosed. The company says it has identified industrial chemicals, coatings, rubber & plastic and Life Sciences have been identified as primary value added growth areas within Europe. Further expansion within Asia Pacific is also another key pillar using a speciality chemicals business model. Early this year, Azelis sold its thermoplastic polymer business to Gazechim Plastics.
