Friul Filiere scores with order from Reliance

Friul Filiere scores with order from RelianceItalian extrusion firm Friul Filiere, which makes the patented FFC (foam fibre composite) material, received what it says is one of the most important orders in its history at the K2013 show. It received an order worth “a little less than US$8 million from the US$66 billion-valued Indian conglomerate Reliance.

The turnkey project includes the delivery of nine extrusion lines.

According to Friul Filiere’s CEO Valdi Artico, “We won the contract against foreign multinationals competitors based on our innovative technology; totally customised solutions; production performance (the highest extrusion speed ever reached); flexible and collaborative approach and the speed of implementation.” Apart from its patented FFC technology, Friul Filiere has also filed a patent recently for the design of an extrusion line called Omega Evolution.
