IRPC/PCC Rokita tie up for PU products

Thailand-based IRPC Polyols Company Limited (IRPCP), a unit of IRPC Public Company Limited, has tied up with Polish chemicals company PCC Rokita to create a 50:50 joint venture. The jv will sell polyols and polyurethane systems from the portfolio of IRPCP.

IRPC will also produce new products for the joint venture under the license of PCC Rokita. The jv aims to increase its sales of polyols and polyurethane systems in Southeast Asia, China and India.

IRPC is a producer of integrated petrochemical products. Its complex consists of an upstream, an oil refinery unit and a downstream petrochemical production. The company's oil refinery unit has the total capacity of 215,000 barrels per day, accounting for 21% of the country's total refining capacity. IRPC's production complex is located in the industrial/petrochemical hub managed by the company in Rayong, Thailand.
