RTP takes over three plants of Alloy Polymers

In a bid to strengthen its position in the high-volume contract manufacturing sector, US compounder RTP Company has acquired three US production facilities from compound maker Alloy Polymers.

The three plants are located in Richmond, Crockett and Orange and will be merged with the previous RTP Company acquisition of Alloy Polymers’ Gahanna, Ohio plant.

The plants have a compounding capacity in excess of about 226,000 tonnes/year.

The group, headquartered in Richmond, will continue to be called Alloy Polymers but is now a wholly owned subsidiary of RTP.

The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
