DSM sets up centre in India

DSM has opened a shared services centre in Hyderabad. The Dutch firm, which is into nutrition, pharmaceutical and engineering plastics sectors, will be making the facility its core centre for all global financial transactions, including accounting services. This is part of its plans to treble its turnover in India from the current US$200 million in the next three years.

Currently, the Hyderabad facility has an employee strength of 75, and this will be increased to at least 250 in the next three years. The facility will be later used for other services, such as information technology operations, procurement and human resources management globally.
