PolyOne invests in Ohio plant

US-based polymer supplier PolyOne Corporation is investing in its GSDI speciality dispersions business to better serve customers, improve operational efficiency, and launch innovative new colorant and additive solutions for silicone and other thermoset applications.

The company is making strategic investments in its Massillon, Ohio, facility that will expand production capacity and efficiency with new equipment and increase laboratory capabilities – accelerating product development, operational excellence and customer value.

PolyOne’s speciality dispersions business operates within its Color, Additive and Inks segment and provides colourant solutions specifically formulated to the exacting specifications for carrier systems such as silicone, rubber, vinyl, epoxy, urethane, and plasticisers. The diverse end markets for applications include products in industries such as transportation, infant care, healthcare, consumer goods, and building and construction.
