K 2016: Premier trade show in Germany is expected to be a full house in October

With a few weeks to go before the closing date for registrations for K 2016, a global plastics and rubber trade fair to be held from 19 to 26 October in Düsseldorf , Germany, some 3,000 exhibitors have already confirmed their attendance at the show. Messe Düsseldorf, the show’s organiser said that demand for exhibition space has been brisk, and all 19 halls of Düsseldorf's fairgrounds are expected to befully packed. Companies from all continents have already registered to showcase their innovations in the following exhibit categories, namely, raw materials, auxiliaries; semi-finished products; technical parts and reinforced plastics; and machines and equipment for the plastics and rubber industry.

Werner M. Dornscheidt, President and CEO of MesseDüsseldorf, says that demand for exhibition space is “again extremely buoyant”. He also advises that registration for K 2016 is still ongoing until 31 May.

Some of the highlights at the show include presentations of exhibiting companies and a special show illustrating the potential of plastics andrubber for forward-looking applications. The special show is being organised by the German plastics industry under the auspices of PlasticsEurope Deutschland e.V. and Messe Düsseldorf.

Another highlight of the supporting programme at K will be the Science Campus, the forum for research and teaching. The Science Campus provides a compact overview of the activities and findings of university and scientific organisations and helps to intensify dialogue between research and industry.
