In-line pipe-in-pipe production

German corrugator specialist Unicor has developed a new machine for quick and easy in-line production of protective PEX, ALU-PEX-pipes and protective pipes for cables.

The UC58/90 (V) as well as the UC58/120 (V) are Unicor‘s solutions for pipe-in-pipe production and cable insertion within pipe diameters from 8 (id) to 58 mm (od).The in-line production of pipe-in-pipe or the direct insertion of electric wire into corrugated pipe saves a cost-intensive step in the production process by integrating the final fabrication with the production cycle. Thus, additional handling costs can be saved, says the company. The pipe-in-pipe technology is also available with the medium-sized UC75 and UC100 corrugators.
