Vietnamese show grows
Organised jointly by Bangkok Exhibition Services (a member of Allworld Exhibitions) and Messe Düsseldorf Asia, with collaboration from local partner VCCI Exhibition Service, the second edition of the Plastics & Rubber Vietnam show welcomed 5,517 visitors from 34 countries at the end of its three day run from 21-23 October.

Featuring some 206 exhibitors from 21 countries, the show recorded a growth of 80% in the number of participating companies and country and regional groups that included Austria, Germany, Italy, Singapore, Thailand and Taiwan.

Some exhibitors like Starlinger said it had made good contacts while another exhibitor Cincinnati Extrusion sold its displayed machine. Injection machinery producer Arburg also decided to showcase a machine at the show after receiving enquiries at last year’s participation. Meanwhile, blow moulding machinery producer Nissei ASB took the opportunity to announce the new set-up of its local office in Ho Chi Minh City.

The next edition of Plastics & Rubber Vietnam will be held from 17-20 March 2010 at the brand new Saigon Exhibition and Convention Centre (SECC) close to the centre of Ho Chi Minh City.
