PU conference to be held together with US exhibition
The Centre for the Polyurethanes Industry (CPI), of the American Chemistry Council, has opened registration for the Polyurethanes 2010 Technical Conference, to be held in partnership with Utech North America, from 11-13 October in Texas.

This year’s conference will feature 16 technical sessions consisting of more than 70 presentations.  Sessions will address flammability performance and flame retardants, energy critical foams, renewable content polyols, sustainability, chemistry and fundamentals and more.  Papers and posters will address innovations and developments in multiple PU areas, including flexible slabstock, flexible moulded, rigid foam, soy-based polyols, PU waterborne dispersions, equipment/machinery, cast elastomers, TPUs, integral skin, Reaction Injection Moulding (RIM), binders/fillers, coatings, adhesives, sealants and more.

This year’s programme will also feature the Polyurethane Professional Development Program and an updated Polyurethane Innovation Showcase.  Courses will range from introductory to advanced levels on PU-related topics such as basic chemistry and technology to raw materials analysis and processing equipment.
